Gardening pleasure - provide equipment
Foster inclusion. Combat isolation. Cultivate confidence.
Here in the UK many who have debilitating health problems are not given a chance to develop their skills or feel useful. Gardening (poshly referred to as horticultural therapy) provides great opportunities to break down barriers, provide companionship and add variety to life. Whilst full-time work is not always possible, the opportunity to volunteer in maintaining gardens, or growing plants for sale gives a welcome sense of achievement. Parks and gardens maintained by the schemes bring pleasure to the whole neighbourhood.
Provide equipment for these gardening sessions for £40.
