🎁 1 water tank installed at Nyirarukobwa Primary School

💧 Clean, reliable water for drinking and hygiene

👧 Hundreds of children spending more time in class

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet in Bugesera District many students used to spend hours fetching water instead of studying. Without a nearby source, classrooms and facilities often lacked proper sanitation, affecting both attendance and health.

Thanks to Good Gifts supporters, a new water tank has been installed at Nyirarukobwa Primary School, providing a reliable source of clean water for hundreds of students and teachers.

Before, our pupils — especially girls — spent hours walking to collect water. Now we have clean water right here at school. The children are happier, healthier, and can focus on learning.”
— Head Teacher, Nyirarukobwa Primary School

The water tank has transformed the school environment: improving hygiene, reducing illness, and freeing up time for study. Girls, in particular, benefit from better sanitation and no longer miss lessons to fetch water.

Your gift of a water tank for an African school helps children in Rwanda learn and thrive in a safe, healthy environment.

This gift was delivered in partnership with Survivors Fund (SURF), supporting survivors of the Genocide against the Tutsi and their families across Rwanda to rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and self-reliance.
