- π 40 survivors received solar lights
- π‘ Improved safety and wellbeing in remote areas
- π Children can now study after sunset
For many survivors living in remote areas without electricity, nightfall brings fear and isolation. Families struggle to function after sunset, and children canβt study once darkness falls.
Thanks to Good Gifts supporters, forty survivors in Kamonyi District have received solar lights, bringing brightness, comfort, and renewed hope into their homes.
Beyond illumination, these lights mean safety and connection – they reduce the risk of accidents, help prevent gender-based violence, and even allow small income-generating activities to continue in the evenings.
βMy heart is full of joy. We waited years for electricity, but the cost made it impossible. This solar light means so much β it helps my children study, allows us to charge our phones, and saves us money. Before, I walked two hours just to charge my phone. This is life-changing.β
