- π‘ Food parcels and vouchers provided to families of teenagers during school holidays
Natalie contacted Maundy Relief in August. The mother of three teenage children, all pupils at a local secondary school, she explained that the holidays were always a stretch β her children, as she put it, βeat her out of house and homeβ. She had always budgeted carefully and managed to get by, but this year her hours at work had been reduced and she could no longer make ends meet, despite desperately seeking additional work to cover household expenses.
Thanks to Good Gifts, Maundy Relief was able to provide a substantial food parcel every week throughout the holidays. They were also able to provide a supermarket voucher so Natalie could buy food for one of her children who is on a special diet due to a medical condition.
Natalie has since found a new job with greater security, and the family is doing well. She knows that Maundy Relief is still there if she needs them.
βI donβt know what I would have done without you this holidays β I donβt think anyone else understands how much teenagers eat! I felt like a failure as a Mum as I couldnβt put enough food on the table, but you came to our rescue β thank you so so much.β
